WCSC Live 5 News App Reviews

This app work great before the recent update. Now it does not update and when you try to refresh the screen it said that it has already updated when clearly it hasnt. Please fix

Today is December 6, 2014. I tried to check the video weather for the latest forecast on current conditions and it shows the weather for Halloween night 2014. Really WCSC? This just goes to show how much time you put in your app.

Ive been using this app for almost 2 years. This app was the best in the Charleston South Carolina area. Though the quality of the news is still good, the developers of the app have tried to over monetize this app. I do not need to stare at a McDonalds logo for 15 seconds before I can get to the news. And the ad placement within the news articles makes it impossible to read the bottom of the news. To the developer of this app, you had a good thing and screwed it up.

The banner ad at the bottom wasnt too bad for me. The ads that popped up after you read a couple articles, annoying but livable. But this new McDonalds logo whenever you open the app for 10-15 seconds is obnoxious. Deleting the app and installing a bookmark in place of it.

Im forced to look at McDonalds any time I open this app. Ill find other ways for news.

The only enhancement made to this app have been more and more obnoxious and larger ads. If I am reading the news and then reply to a text then switch back to the news article I was reading I am forced to stare at a full screen McDonalds ad AGAIN. The ads placed within the articles themselves continue to get larger taking up more screen space and now their animated!!! Seriously? Enough is enough.

More and more ads! This was a pretty well functioning news app until recently. First the McDonalds "home screen" and now ads IN the news articles that are difficult to navigate around. Honestly, these are more like National Enquirer spots than ads! I realize theyve got to make money, but I wont be using this app any longer. Maybe Channel 2 works...

When you get a "BREAKING NEWS" alert and you go to open the app...the site hasnt even been updated with the breaking story! This is insanely frustrating. Moving on to other local news stations. Giving up on Channel 5.

The traffic tracker was my favorite function and now its gone. Please bring it back. Ill still probably check the site for local news- but Im way disappointed about the tracker.

Ill get a notification about a news alert so Ill swipe on it to open the News 5 app. The article in the notification is not open or is the story anywhere on the page. Youre cat fishing me. :)

Bring back the traffic feature that lets you see where the accidents are!

Please get rid of the McDonalds add. We all know McDonalds exists but not all of us want to read the news sponsored by disgusting food. Id much rather jump on an app not featuring greasy sponsors.

The latest update locked up the app. I had to delete. It wont open

I would love Live 5 even more If it was not for the Hamburger In your face when trying to see latest news that is happening ASAP.
